Cleaning barrels

I do barrel off cleaning on occasion, I’ve never had any issues whatsoever. Use a shorter cleaning rod if it helps.

Best advice I have seen.

In my pea brain, if I had access to a 12” piece of 1.25” Delrin (https://www.onlinemetals.com/en/buy...yUHt-51iUM1CB2YbCZMdYA-3dWHg-uiwaAtwuEALw_wcB) and a machinist friend I would bore and thread one end to match the barrel threads and bore the center to just over bore diameter. Mill in a notch for solvent addition if you want.

One of my f open platforms is a switch barrel setup, 6mm-7mm. Whenever I switch calibers I put the other cal barrel on and attend to removed barrel after, cleaning it off the rifle. like (F Class John) showed, I too have an assortment of 21st Century (off-gun) bore guides. I use a pprtable bicycle repair stand for my racing bikes and clamp the barrels in the rubber fitted claws. Works flawlessly. Guess it just depends on the particular circumstance. Sometimes its more adventageous to snatch barrels out of the safe and do them individually.
