Clays up there , Last I knew he quit making Barrels, and turned it over to another nice fellow.
I think he is still smithing and his daughter is still making bullets ,last I heard.

Phil Cashin of Masterpiece Arms I believe owns Spencer barrels now. MPA purchased in June of 2013.

I talked with Clay on the phone this morning. Don't know if he still has the business, but he answered the phone number on his website. So I've talked with him and that's all I needed. Thanks for the help and comments.

Clay sold his bullet making dies some time back. It was a shame damn good bullets.. Tommy Mc..

Clay's famous 6mm 103 Bt bullet is now made in MO and is named Vapor Trail. They seem to be identical to the original Spencer although they are made by a different person(s). James

Clay recently re-barreled a couple of rifles for me, I supplied the barrels. Excellent craftsmanship/accuracy and fast turn around. I am fortunate to live within driving distance.
