Chuckar hunting

Has anyone been out to Nevada chasing birds? Just wondering how the bird population is ?

Kinda' sucks here in SW Idaho. South toward Nevada is even worse. Dry as hell until this weekend. Maybe the expected snow will move them down and some tracks will reveal it really ain't so bad. I only get two to six shots per outing, ... at this point, just gettin' the dog out!

Went out yesterday afternoon. Four covey points, ... only one where I could get close enough for a decent shot. Notched one hun. Rest blew out well before getting in range. Very, very jumpy! Suspect three of the coveys were huns.

LOL You thinking about going to that Chukar Tournament in Battle Mountain??
MY father and brother and I have done that tournament a few times. It cost a pretty
penny to get in it but they give away A LOT of cool stuff. It is a good time-if you are thinking about it
but I think it's the beginning of November?

Have not been to tourney, sounds fun though. Have a good freind that I was in the Marines with that lives in lovelock,I'm sure he has been

I just got on Battle Mountain's webpage and they cancelled it this year due to CCP. Our governor SUCKS BALLS in NV. I have NOT noticed bird pops up this year . IMO
