I once had a 300 Winmag that was a pretty good thumper. I had always thought that stock, like yours, was ugly as sin. Put it on the thumping Winmag and it became a pussycat. No longer looks ugly to me. Free bump for reading my story.

It doesn't win in the looks department but I'm not sure a more solid stock is made lol
