Checking Headspace on AI Case

I have a 223AI and the brass is on its third firing, counting the fireforming. I have been neck sizing so far and the brass still fits with little or no bolt resistance but sooner or later I'm going to have to bump the shoulder.

Now for my question. I have a set of the Stoney Point, now Hordady) caliper inserts to check the length of my fired cases to the datum line and try to bump the shoulders .001-.002. Do I use the same insert for the AI as for the parent 223 case?

I'm still kind of new to this AI thing so any help would be appreciated.

I've been shooting a .243 AI for a few years now, have a redding bump die that I have never used. It appears the 40 degree shoulder lends itself to standard neck sizing. I've fired some cases 6-7 times and they still chamber OK.

Yeah, I'm definitely impressed with the stability of the brass so far. Just wanted to make sure I was measuring the right thing when the time does come to FL size.
