Chart for Burden, primers , for caliber ?

Would someone have a chart showing the Berdan Primer, used in 22- Hi Power Savage , (5.6x52R) Norma Brass Case? And where , I can buy the correct size ? Dave Brantner

Berdan primer #.217. I'd look at an RWS or DWM distributer for the primers.

Should note that Berdan primers can't be directly punched out like a Boxer type primer. As I recall, it takes a special lever type tool that works by prying the spent primer out from the back of the case.

Some people have kludged up hydraulic systems (or at least procedures) to decap Berdan primers.

Yes , This is the standard # for the 5.6 x 52R. 22 Savage High Power (unless they are American made boxer primed LG rifle primed) Berdan primer #'s go by actual diameter . The other # for Small Berdan is .117. I would look for an importer of RWS/DWM for availability.

Are you still looking for Berdan primers? I have several thousand that I inherited from my FIL. I don’t have any firearms that require them, so I have no use for them.

What are you looking for specifically?

Not even sure how to ship them for a private sale? Since they can’t go bang unless they’re in a Berdan case, does one have to worry about Hazmat?
