hey everyone, I have acquired a chaparral 1866 kings improvement close copy rifle. it has the presentation grade stock and is 38-40 in caliber. it is new. I've been trying to find a value and just running into dead ends so if anyone here has an idea of the value it'd be greatly appreciated. thanks again and have a great night!!

A picture would be of great help. Is it engraved? The originals were a major improvement over the Henry. I have one of those in 44-40.
I bought mine several years ago from a Cabelas store. I paid $1200. Yours is not a Chiappa brand is it?
