changing bolt body headspace needed???

I have a savage model 12 short action and have ordered a fluted bolt. Is there a need to set the headspace after changing new bolt ? thanks

I would think because your using the same bolt head and baffle no. but I could be wrong. seems the distance from bolt face to lug surface is going to stay the same IF the same head and baffle are used

I've changed 5 or 6 and never had to change headspace. YMMV.

thanks guys, i wasnt sure. think ill go ahead and check it with my go no go gauges and hope i dont have to reset it , its shooting less than half moa out to 600 and dont want to mess it up. thanks
