They're takin' you for a ride, Larry. Manson charges $30 to sharpen. Add shipping both ways and that brings it up to about $55. A new SAAMI reamer from Manson, with removable pilot, is $130 +$12 shipping which brings that total tp $142. Now, unless my calculator is wrong, $55 is not 2/3 of the cost of a new reamer. And if you have to have by the "next day", it just tells me you don't know how to plan ahead.
Yep! You'll have a reamer with one dull flute and 5 sharp flutes. I buy chucking reamers that cut on all flutes. If I order a chambering reamer, and it only cuts on one flute, I'll send it back. If I have that experience more than once from the same reamer maker, I found a different reamer/tool maker. If I've paid for "first class" tools, I expect first class tools (and service).Hmmm...................as soon as that "one cutting flute" wears down a little you'll have a new sharp reamer.
