Chambering 6.5 BRX

I need to go to chambering school and I cannot think of a better place than here. I have a 6BRX reamer and I have chambered a couple of barrels. I have tried to find a 6.5 BRX reamer but so far, no luck. I got to thinking. Can I use my 6 BRX reamer with a 6.5 pilot bushing and then cut the throat and neck dia. separately?

I’ve done it using a chucking reamer for the neck, and a separate throating reamer...it works just fine. Would I do it on a regular basis??...not if I could help it, but it certainly DOES work and shoots very well. Last one was a 6mm Grendel using a 224 LBC reamer. No problems. Also did the same with a 6-284 reamer when I wanted a hunting rifle in 25-284, only that one I used a 25-06 for the neck and throat. That one was incredibly accurate for a 6.5lb sporter on a model 70 action. Easy sub MOA.
