Chamber too tight?

Hi all, here is the deal. I previously chambered a rifle with .000" headspace and fired some brass three times then sent them too Harrels for a die. Now I chambered another rifle with same reamer (.000" headspace) and used the die I bought from Harrels for once fired brass. It is very hard too close the bolt. Could this chamber be little tighter? Are the rounds I loaded safe to shoot? Please help a noob. Thanks, SPM

Rarely will two chambers be exactly the same.

Second if you chambered a rifle with .000 headspace the bolt would not close. It has to have a little clearance.

If you chamber tighter than .0015"-.002" an increase of 10 degrees in temperature could cause your bolt to not close on a case.

SAAMI specs allow for .0035".

Good Luck

You can keep 2 chambers awful darn close if you use one of Rustystuds handy dandy Micro Adjustable Reamer Stops for chambering.. I've done 3, 7mm SAUM AI's with one and they will all interchange ammo with no problems....
.000 headspace is not a good thing to have, a single piece of powder will lock it up.....
