I used setting 2 on a dewalt cordless drill I can try to get rpms but I wouldn’t think it’s that critical.I've got a few additional questions if you don't mind answering them:
Does rpm matter?
Do you need to put any different finish on after the 320 grit?
How far into the chamber do you go? Would measuring with standard calipers be sufficient to measure progress?
I didn’t go a finer finish 320 produced a good crosshatch pattern I was after
I probably got the rear 1/2 of chamber but didn’t get close to throat area. Main thing is while tool is rotating keep it moving back and forth so you don’t create a step. It takes more than you think with this grit.
im not sure on the calipers, I assume you could but I used Starrett small hole gauges and a micrometer.
This is a crude method compared to normal chambering but absent of rechambering not sure how else to do it. Worked for me on this rifle.
