chamber imperfections in brx

i have a 6mmbrx 1x8 twist #17 hv 104 freebore has some small imperfections in scaring cases these scars are on back of case mostly cosmetic the real concern is the one almost exactily where my hornaby shoulder guage touches case 1/2 way from where nk shoulder junction is barrel is as new with 80 rds. through it would it be possible to have a gunsmith to make a dasher out of it without setting barrel back, my shoulder guage made out of the end piece of barrel & cut with same reamer clearly shows a ring in the guage ill post pics i hate to cut barrel off but may have to for another brx. this 1 shoots excellent but im afraid the ring around the neck will weaken the brass over time thanks in advance for any suggestions on this hope these pics show what im refering to. Thanks Alan

I have the same looking ring around my brass also. I have about 5 firings on the brass so far and nothing has happened to the brass. I sent it to Greg Tannel and he polished up the chamber and that helped.

Alan,
I have 7 6BRX rifles done by three different reams and they all have that ring, I think it something you get when F.F you can't catch a fingernail on it you can just see it, I took one piece of brass and fired it 34 times with no failures and it will still shoot if I reloaded again, I wouldn't worry about it, I would just shoot it ;)
Wayne.

P.S come to think of it I bet if you measured it was where the old shoulder neck junction was 8)
