When reaming a chamber after I get around an inch deep I many times get most metal shavings on one side of the reamer. I do use a floating reamer holder and have checked tail stock alignment and it comes out good but I still worry that something may be off and the chamber could be getting reamed too big. Just finished reaming a 6mm creedmoor and did a chamber casting with cerosafe. I am measuring .4723” at the base of the casting about a 40 minutes after casting was made. Hornady reload book gives a brass dimension of .473” diameter. I guess I am okay. Am I doing this right? How big of a diameter is too big when you measure a chamber cast.
