CG Millennium action information

I recently did some horse trading, at a gun show, and ended up with what I thought from first appearance to be another RPA quad lock rifle. Not being able to really examine the rifle completely I completed the swap and headed home. It turns out that the rifle is built on a CG Millennium action and not a quad lock. Other than they were built in New Zealand and imported by Sinclair in the early 2000's I can't find any information on them. Anyone have any documentation on this action? The complete rifle is is chambered in 22-243, unknown if it is the winchester or improved version, sitting in a laminated pistol grip stock.

I was told it was fired very little and the looks of the action and barrel seem to agree with the statement. If anyone has need of a rifle such as this I can send pictures...

Obviously the main man himself, Mr Chombart, is the best source of information.

What I can tell you is that replacement parts are not easy to come by, even here in New Zealand where there are still a lot of these actions in use (both in Target Rifle/ Palma and F Class). But, it is/ was the basis of several very accurate rifles that I have seen in competition.

Thank you, gents.

The Millenium, although looking close to a C.G RPA Quadlock, is an evolution of this model and include several major improvements over the Quadlock. Finish is also first class.

The Millenium is one of my prides and has won, despoite its relatively limited numbers, all the major international compétitions of the Long Range.

Each time come out on the market, they are sought after and traded at high value.

Basic parts are still available with the manufacturer HHE in NZ. About triggers, there is now a C.G Model 22 for the Millenium.

I will reply to any question about the 'Millie', either PM or;

HHE was Hastie-Halberg Enterprises but it is no more. Both Tony Halberg and John Hastie have left us. They worked with Robert Chombart to create the HHE CG Millenium. The following pictures were found recently while I was working through some of John's USB sticks. Tony is on the left, John on the right.
