Cerakoting

I was sitting on my gun bench shooting the other day, caught myself staring at the barrel wondering the same thing... my guess is that yes... probably holds heat a tad bit longer for the simple fact its insullating the barrel... but i dont think its of mmajor concern for most people. If i remember right its a ceramic based mixture...? Im no pro... but my guess is yes just a tad... but not enough to matter to me cuz i got about $2000 in work i gotta get done this year cerakoting wise...

The chamber throat area would take the most heat actually a lot of heat. Thought to run an experiment one block SS coated with a hole in it for heating probe and another same size uncoated with same size hole. Heat them up which cools quicker however looking to see if there is way to measure distortion during the heating and cooling period of both external dimension and hole dimension. Open to opinions and other methods.
