center x in stock at precision reloading

That shit had better not have a flyer in the case. At triple the price of SK. 1’s all day if I’m hip shooting.

Never say never, they say. But the day I pay nearly 50¢/rd for 22 ammunition, will never happen. Unless I win the lottery, then I’ll buy all of it because it outperforms everything in my portfolio by far.

Whidden has CX and Pistol King. nice thing about Whidden they show the lot numbers to you can choose from.

Which, in a perfect world would be ideal. But you are still essentially buying blind still because you aren’t going to get a shot at getting more of a lot that shoots well. Yes you pick a lot, but it’s not going to be a lot you already have and know and by the time you get it/test, it’s long since been sold out.

Right?

it certainly won't be testing center select that's true. but buying blind if you know your rifle(s) gives you better than 50/50 chance.
up till last month I was shooting lots bought blind did pretty good my first full year at ARA UL (2024) I only shoot Lapua and with their quality I won't hesitate to buy blind.

If you know your rifle? Please explain. Are you referring to a rifle preferring a certain velocity?

No velocity that is on a box is just what is seen at the factory. I mean if you rifle is truly tuned then it will shoot most lots decently enough to be competitive at the club level.
but if you rifle is not tuned then the odds are less that you will find something buying blind and even when testing at the center.
remember good ammo will shoot in many rifles, but how well it does and at what level is dependent on the rifle.

So I was down to several bricks of OK, one last 1/2 brick of killer, 4 other lots of maybe and Finally a case of Center X landed yesterday---Oh Baby! This is what dreams are made of--fired 5 rounds for foulers on clean rig
and then these 5-- I am ready for winter indoor now
I can sleep better tonight--that is a pile of $$ on a gamble
