center shot bipod mount question

I bought a center shot bipod. I would like to know if you have used one, and was it mounted to a rail or picatiny mount..I like the ability of the quick detach w/ a picatiny mount, but I bought a rail to be milled into my rifle stock forarm. Have you Noticed one mounting style to have more rigidity

If you have a wood stock - inletting a rail is ok.
But fiberglass - you can cut through the shell and only have "filler" to mount the rail to. A good hard smack could pop the filler.

Mine has the Picatinny mount. The rail protrudes 5/16 inch from the forearm surface. It is all the more rigid as I would ever need for FTR.
