Celestron Ultima 80 spotting scope

Read comments on main page about this scope. Would very much like to hear from those of you that own or have used one. How well do you like them? Any dislikes? Thanks for your time gents, Phil...

Phil - Just received my Ultima 80 with angled eyepiece yesterday. Weather didn't permit a range trip, but from my deck I can say that the scope is powerful, clear thru the power range and it is large. Large is not a problem for the range. Hope to get to the range and try it this next week. Initially it looks like a great scope for the $$. If it shows the little holes for these aging eyes, I'll be happy. Rupe

How did the Celestron do at the range?

Mike - I'm happy with it. Keep in mind that I have a rather serious vision problem. Scope is clear, but when I got to the max power I believe that it is a little fuzzy. This could be me. For the $$ I think it is a great scope. Haven't used it at other than the 100 yd line so far and have been only shooting 22 cal. I'm hoping that it will work as well on the 17 cal holes.
