CDi Precision Gunworks - Are they still in business?

Has anyone had any contact with CDi Precision Gunworks in Sarasota, FL? I placed an order with them back in February, never received it! Placed another order about a month ago, never recieved it either. These were both Web Orders and I received a confirmation of the order both times, but never the product. (To be honest, I am going to have to go back to see if my credit card was ever charged.) I have tried to call them many times. An answering machine answers the phone saying that he is on the phone with another customer or out of the office and to leave a message. Can't leave a message because the mailbox is always full! Is this a scam company?

I did a google search for long rifles and could only find one in SD. Doubt if that is what you were referring to? I used the search function in this forum for CDI and saw some great comments about them. Did not read them all. Also did a search for long rifles and nothing pertaining came up...

Jeff's passing was apparently sudden. I know quite a few people who sent him stocks for a DBM on the day he passed.
I have heard his wife is getting things shipped back to the owners now but I'm sure she is going thru a difficult time.
We can all get on the internet and tell her what she should do but right now I think you should just be patient. BTW, he passed on August 2nd.

fgcook, Jeff was a good man that supported shooting sports. He will be missed. Chad Dixon is helping out, he is a Top notch rifle builder and craftsman. Longrifles Inc.

That was recent, but I think you can understand my concern when something I ordered in February did not arrive as well. It would probably take a lot of pressure off her if they could put a statement, of some sort on their answering machine and website. Others like me, searching the internet, placing and order with a credit card, then not getting the product, and then not getting any response at all is disturbing in today's age of scams. I understand her situation and frustration. Probably a small family business with little or no backup plan for unforeseen things like this. I have seen it too many times. I was a funeral director for 35 years... I will get in touch with Chad. Thanks to all of you for the information.

Id just about bet nobody has the password to that website. No way to update it

Good Point. Big Commerce built it or hosts it. Their phone number is Call Sales: 1-888-248-9325 so if anyone is close or helping the family they might call and explain the situation and at least they might take it completely down. There is obviously a "store" connected to it as well, so depending on how it operates, there could still be money collected from sales like mine. I'm not so concerned about the money I spent, probably under $200 total. I was more concerned that somebody, not so reputable, now had my credit card information. I had changes from Hong Kong on a card about 3 weeks ago and I haven't been there in over 4 years, so it happens. When I ordered I even got confirmation emails back from my orders, the one in Feb as well as the one last month. So it is curning away...

I've spoken with the people a CDI ..there in my prayers..very nice people and very giving of there time when chatting about firearms another loos to the shooting industry..
I agree..Chad dixon over at long rifles inc knows his shit and can talk the ears off a brass monkey when it comes to his gun and machine knowledge very very nice work ..not cheap but I believe I got what I paid for and I'm a happy customer would definitely recommend them to fellow forum member with no or very little fear of being bashed for bad suggestions..hahahaha
I was actually just looking at cdi page for bottom metal and thought I'll buy it and send it over to LRI. For inleting..thay is how I stumbled upon this thread

Couldnt agree more with your assessment of Chad at LRI. They do excellent work.

One question: So did he help with the inletting or does he have actual access to the CDI parts? I really need to get my hands on an AICS DBM bottom metal for a Winchester M-70.
