cci sm rifle mag primers

I got a box of these by mistake and have never used them. I only use small rifle primers for the 222 and 223/5.56 gas gun. My question is have any of you used these for these two calibers? Thanks!!

I use plenty, as in cases of them, CCI-450's in 5.56 AR-15's and my 6 BR's. They should work fine in a .222 also but I'm sure someone will claim something else is better.

I use them in my dasher, 221 fireball. Also use Rem. 7 1/2 in both, when I run out of the 450's.

I use them by the thousands. besides being slightly hotter the 450's are also .005 thicker in the cup which is extremely important for those of us with falling block actions like a martini. less primmer firing pin flow

They give me great ES and SD numbers with my H4895 80gr SMK load. Also let me push some serious MV with my 55gr BK load too with H4895. Its all I use anymore.

I did a fair amount of testing in a 20" AR and found the best accuracy with CCI 450's was with ball type powders (CFE 223). With Varget powder, the standard 400's and 205's gave better ES numbers and much better accuracy. This is in my barrel and may not be your case.
