Cci primers

I know the CCI 400 primers have thinner cups than the CCI 450s, I was just wondering if anybody has used the CCI 400s with the 6GT and the 6BR?

I use them in the 6BR and a 30x47L and they work fine. If your bolt face has not been bushed and fitted with a smaller firing pin, I would not use them. You are likely to get holes poked in the primers before you get to the higher pressure loads.

Spot on, I’ve used them in a 6br and brx with success. But as KMart pointed out you will pierce primers if you have a sloppy firing pin

The 450’s proved to far more accurate in all of our dasher, I think you will find the same to be true in the 6GT and 6BR

I'm running 400's in a 6br Peterson brass N140. Never pierced a primer yet, nor have I got a slam fire in my 6x45 AR

Not yet, I'm at a cross roads...
Wanting to shoot West coast Freedom national, will the 6br get it done @ 1k?
Pull 6br barrel for later use and screw on a 6mm variation with a lil more ass for the task at hand?

400's shot better in both of my 6bra's. But you will have to test that for yourself.

Or get a Dasher chamber reamed in. All the ass you need for 1K. - on a calm day....

Are the regular Winchester small rifle primers softer like the 400’s?
