CCI #34 Military LR Primers...

Anybody have any experience with them? Im running low on BR-2 Primers and am looking for an alternative, since BR-2s seem to be pretty hard to find. I would be using them in 308win with 155gr SMK palma and Leverevolution for Long range FT/R. Might also use them in 6.5 creedmoor. Thanks for the help.

The #34 primer does not use the same compounds that the others do. Try one of the other LR primers.

Get some Tula or Wolf LR primers. Widners has them.

Now the CCI #41 primer is an excellent primer... I find it to act like and realistically be the duplicate of CCI 400's maybe even the BR-4's... However, it is a small rifle primer..

When I first started reloading, about four years ago, I started with CCI #34 because they were specified for the .308 AR's. Supposedly they are formulated to avoid slam-bang discharge. Once I started using a bolt gun, they worked OK, but after I tried the Federal 210M I never used them again. My groups immediately shrank 2" just from changing primers.
