CBI are offering 7.5 twist 6mm Barrels Now

I called Jim Briggs of Northland Shooters today because I wanted to buy a .243 AI Match Chamber Varmint barrel for a Savage LRP tactical Rig that I am putting together. I thought that I was limited to an 8 twist, but Jim told me they are offering 7.5 for the 6mm barrels now and also are offering 8.5 for 7mm barrels. Just in case anyone was interested.

That is good news. I hope you get your 243AI quicker than I got mine. I just received it after waiting 24 weeks.
I would also like to see CBI expand their chambering selections.

The CBI barrels are good, I'm not sure about LR bench quality. But what gets me is that the prefits are priced competitively. But if u try to get a blank to machine yourself, it cost exactly the same as top tier brands like Kreiger, Brux,& Bartlein.
Just doesn't seem right... I know if you get a top tier company to make a prefit you'll be in the $550 range and up. Just doesn't make sense. Your better off to have them do a prefit and save money and time.
