Cast bullets Labradar no track?

Tried to see what my 45-70 500 gn bullets in front of 68 gns of Swiss 1-1/2 would do.
Shot 30 rounds and never tracked one. Never had any problem with 223 - 338 jacketed
bullets. Bullets cast 20 to 1 lead to tin.
Is the soft lead absorbing the beam and not reflecting back to the radar?
Do I need to dust off the of 35P or am I missing something?

Had the same problem trying to measure mv with my .32 Miller Short. 20-1 bullets, I guestimate 1400fps. Never tracked a one yet. Works fine with jacketed bullets. Interested in some answers.

Come on fellas you think labradar knows lead from copper?
Switch it to handgun velocity.

Rifle (1600 fps to 3900 fps
Handgun (600 fps to 1600 fps)

The manuel says use "doppler" for big slow bullets, and I think you have to select handgun instead of rifle.
The rifle selection is (1600 to 3900fps), handgun is(600 to 1600fps).

If setup correctly, mine will read .22 cal lead pellets at 810 fps and .17 cal bbs at 400 fps.

When all else fails read the directions.
It does not read shotguns though.

Lead doesn't reflect radar, that's why they make those stealth fighters outa lead...

Seriously, just a settings issue.

Im not sure if it does read shotguns but for the first few feet a shotgun load is pretty much a single mass.

it wan't read a shotgun with shot, I confirmed it with them.
