Case shape after being fired

Been saving all my .223 cases. Gonna get a reloading kit soon. Got around 300 empty cases. I notice at the front of EVERY case where the bullet goes in there is a small flattened side. Its only about 35 degrees of the circle and its not completely flat, but it does have a little bit of a flattened side. The gun shoots .5 moa. It a Remington 700P. Is this normal??? Got a pic below. The flat side is on the bottom of the pic.

You need to trim your ejector spring one coil at a time, testing as you go. When the case clears the chamber it hits the inside of the action (hard enough to dent the neck) before the bolt is drawn back far enough for it to eject.

Yup, ejector is slapping the case on the side of the chamber during eject.

That's actually not bad, it'll size out when run through the die/sizing process.

I use bushing dies for almost all of my rifles without the decapping assembly in the die so this method wouldn't work for me, I use Boyd's method, but if you have standard dies and a standard chamber then Necchi's way works fine also.
