Case Sectioning How-To

When I first had to make 30BR brass I really worried about removing too much metal at the case neck / shoulder joint. I decided to try and section a case to see where I was at. I discovered that a 'Razor Saw' left over from my modeling days worked great.

If you are doing projects that require major mods to the brass it would be smart to section a case or two to verify your work. You should be able to pick up one of these saws at any RC hobby shop.

You can also glue the brass to a block of wood and use a belt sander to get it where you want it. This also works well for sectioning bullets.
