Case prep center

Noise level with the RCBS is truly annoying, though I'm glad to have it. If the more expensive Hornaday were significantly more quiet it'd be worth the expense.
No experience with the Lyman.

I have an RCBS and a Hornady . I got the RCBS first and it is really noisy, but does a good job. Then my trimmer wore out and I started looking around and saw the Hornady at a local shop. The shop owner had ordered it in for somebody else and the guy didn't take it so he gave me a good price on it and I bought it. It has the trimmer and everything on it. I really like it and it is real quiet. I have prepped about 1700 cases with and it saves time and is easy to use, I would not give it up for anything.

The only 2 things I would change about it is 1 the adjustment on top for the trimmer needs some sort of markings and 2 the pan under the tools to catch the trimmings needs to be lowered to allow for better access to the lower work stations. Other than that I am well satisfied.

I love my Hornady I bought used from Blue EyedBear. Not noisy and it realy speeds up case prep, saving my old hands.

Thanks for the relplies, still havnt decided yet but hornady is in on the list now. I watched a yourube video of those three and the hornady is definetly quieter. I need a trimmer to so maybe would benefit me.

Let me guess, you guys manned a 105 howitzer, Korean Conflict ;D

If you like to listen to the radio while reloading you will have to turn it up several notches when you flip the RCBS on switch.

I've been using the RCBS for about 10 years. You can hear it but I wouldn't call it noisy.
Exactly!
