Case Capacity

Just wondering how many think it makes a difference!

Say you have a batch of brass of around 500 pcs and the capacity varies as much a 5.0grs. would you not worry about it or would you work a load up with the cases that have the least capacity and use that load for the rest of the brass and do you think it will affect anything.

I think it's a percentage thing.
5 grs in a BR is infinitely different than a .338 Lapua

5 grains difference in WATER is not a lot, but it would make a difference at 1000yrds.
5 grains difference in BRASS is insignificant, it would barely show itself on target at 1000yrds.

It's all relative on HOW you measure capacity.
I use isopropyl alcohol to measure capacity with a burrette, it gives me tenths of cc's.

I think inside of 600yrds, capacity isn't as important as it is at, or beyond, 1000yrds.

Cheers.
