Cartridge case box ?

For those of you that have a cartridge box like this and holds 6mmBR cases. What is the depth of the lid ??
I have this one for 6mm PPC and is 1.250" deep. Edit; What add for the 6 Dasher as well, if anyone has one to fit those.
Thank you

My question is...On the lid portion of the case box, how deep is the cutout on the inside ? I don't have my rifle yet to check how long the OAL will be with bullets seated long. I'm making one of these for myself out of some nice wood. Basically I need to know what your COL is for the 6BR is so I can make the cut in the lid to hold them without crushing them back into the case.
Thanx again.

Two different (though similar) user names, with different numbers of posts and registration dates, but seem to be answering to yourself? ???

maybe he signed up twice with 2 different times by mistake or maybe it doesnt matter. He is only asking a question.

I am the same person...sorry for the confusion...lost info on account and asked to create a new account a few years ago. I will check to see if I can just remove old user.

Anyway...The question still stands. My rifle build won't be completed for some time. So I don't know what the catridge overall length is. I don't want to use published info from reloading manuals since they are always too short. If someone just measures there 6mmBR with a 105 gr or 108 gr bullets I will be able to figure it out.
Does that make more sense as to what I'm trying to dao ?
Thanx again

I THINK I'm following what you are asking, but not 100% sure. But here goes with the measurements of OAL. These are for what I use in my Savage Model 12 Benchrest Rifle to just touching the lands using both a Bart's 68gr FB Ultra and a Sierra 107 SMK's:

Bart's 68 Gr FB bullet loaded into Lapua brass - 3.010 OAL

Sierra 107 SMK bullet loaded into Lapua Brass - 4.039 OAL

Hope thats what you are looking for.

Alex

Hello Shynloco- That would be it...but I really don't think your loaded cartridge is over 4 inches long. Unless your using a really long comparator tool.

I made up a dummy round. I seated a 105gr Berger in a unfired 6MM BR case with the base of the bullet at the bottom of the neck. The cartridge over all length is 2.320"

He probably measured the C.O.A.L. because that would be the pertinent measurement in this situation!

Still no way to get 4 inches on a 6mmBr loaded round !! Your correct- I am looking for the total length, but it should be just over 2 inches or so. Thanx again.

Four inches if he's including the comparator piece (sleeve, bushing, whatever it's called), but not the loaded round itself.

Heck, a 30-06 round is only 3.34" OAL.

Here is what I got using QL and seated to the longest length possible,
I am not familiar with this case, so don't know if this the longest bullet for this cal.

6MM BR=Sierra 107=2.615"
6MM BR=Berger 115 VLD=2.725"
-------------------------------------
6mm Dasher=Sierra=2.620"
6mm Dasher=Berger 115 VLD=2.720"
