Carbon fiber handguards?

Im thinking of buying a lancer carbon fiber handguard for my next build. Does anyone have any experience with these? or carbon fiber handguard in general? I usually use the suppressor compatible midwest industries hand guards.

Thanks for any input

Never noticed any issues. Both the ones that I shot were in competitions, USPSA three gun and PCC competitions were the guns were run pretty hard.

I looked at some and couldn’t justify the price tag or find one long enough to look at home on a 28” barrel so I made my own. Cf tubes are cheep on Amazon. Add in a bit of scrap aluminum a yhm barrel nut a bit of time on a lathe and a dab of epoxy and it worked well. I don’t remember exactly but I think I’m in to it less than $50.A9D79BAB-DAAC-49F3-961A-C0784E3D29F0.jpeg

Clark custom and smoke composite sell a barrel nut that is a slip fit for generic carbon fiber tubing. My wife wanted a <7# all up AR-15. I just jammed the tube on. No epoxy. Been killing deer like that for years. It's subMOA with factory ammo, too. For light duty use that's all you need. More serious, probably not.
