Can't get scope to focus at long range

My daughter and I were shooting at 1k and she was complaining the target was blurry. I kept telling her it was just mirage. In between relays I had a chance to sit behind her scope and it was definitely not just mirage. Tried adjusting the parallax and the eye piece and the relationship between the two, but I couldn't get her scope any where near as clear as mine. I asked some more experienced shooters to take a look at and everyone came to the same conclusion, that the scope ran out of parallax adjustment. Another 1/4 turn and I think it would have been good.
So here's detail it's Burris 8-32x50 and I just got it back from Burris were they checked it over. Have any of you run into this? I hate to send it back to Burris again but it's looking that way. Thank in advance.

NEVER try to solve parallax with the eyepiece - you will chase your tail, and never get it right - set the eyepiece, and leave it alone.

Dennis I was shooting next to you with Rod and Nate , Mike . I had a burris, same as you have and had the same problem. Sent it back with a letter about what wrong and it came back repaired.
