Can't get enough tension!!!

I'm using redding bushing dies on my lapau 6mm br brass. I've used the .268, and the .267 bushing on some once fired brass.
Now I can't get them to hold the bullet. I've taken the decapping rod assembly out and tried and tried. Had to take out the rod because they are already charged. The bullet keeps going down to the powder when I go to measure. I've got the bushing in and the what'cha macall it screwed down tight on the bushing. The press comes up and cams over but it's just not happening. I've marked the necks to see how much neck is being sized and it is only about an eighth to 3/16 of an inch. What am I doing wrong?? Have I had a mental melt down? Please help soon!!! tootalloutdoors

I am not totally positive because I haven't had my dies apart to change bushings in quite awhile. If you are using the competition bushing neck die there is a black bushing that looks exactly like the sizing bushing, it should go in between your sizing bushing and the decapping assembly. This black bushing is just a spacer and if it is not in place correctly will cause the neck to not be sized completely. If you are using the type s neck bushing dies they might be constructed similar but I do not know. I don't have access to my dies at this moment so I am going by memory but I think this might be your problem.

may I ask what you are using for tension on that 6BR??
ponder this!! use an Mandrel like you would use for the Neck turning operation to size after you have FL sized, you will get about .0005 tension, seat the bullet LONG by about .015 to .020 and let the chamber seat that bullet.
