Can you tell me what this is us marked 22lr receiver

Going by the serial number I would say you have a H&R M12, US stamped and AX pre-fix is a dead give away.
I have a question, is the receiver threaded?

Yes this receiver is threaded. It's in the shop for a new barrel. I was hoping to find some info before doing the job. So far there isnt much info on these modle 12 actions.

I've always heard they were a Win 52 clone.

Modeled after, but not a true clone. Great rifles for the money though.

Extractors are known to be sticky , from old oil , if it hasn't been used for a long while . It's an easy clean . Excellent actions , much better than the Kimber 82s that are about the same price .
There was a guy on eBay selling barreled receivers for $150 , stripped .
I've got 6 of them , a couple I picked up at camp perry , all are shooters some are picky on ammo the better condition ones are not .
They were not drilled for scope bases so that's been added .

Have you ever reworked the trigger to make it lighter? I heard repositioning the pivot for the trigger blade will bring it done to 3-oz.

No I haven't . With some good cleaning and lengthy adjustments sessions, I've been able to get a safe light trigger pull . It does take a lot of very small adjustments, I may have replaced a spring one one of them .
