Can you help me with building a Remington 700 .308?

I have ordered a Remington 700.308 SA Receiver from Brownells to build a new rifle. The problem is that it is not fit to both of my Remington 700 .308 barrels like in the photos. Please help me to solve it.
Thank you so much!

What exactly don't fit ?
All the new receivers are 99.9 % the same.....
If you have the barrels all they should need is to be head spaced to the new action...

Are you saying the barrels will not thread onto the action? If so Brownell's has dies and taps for the Remington barrel threads that should make them compatible. If you are not familiar with checking head space you will need to purchase or rent (4-D Products has them for rent) a set of G0/No-Go gauges. Tighten the barrel to the action and mark the two so that they will go together exactly the same way each time they are disassembled. Remove the firing pin assembly and insert a gauge into the bolt head under the extractor (or remove the extractor). Close the bolt with the gauge in place. If it is a No-Go gauge the bolt should not close. A G0 gauge should close (ideally with just a whisper of resistance). If these criteria are met your head space is safe. If the No-Go closes or the Go gauge does not, you will need the help of a gunsmith to correct the head space.
If you know someone who has done this before it might be less stressful to have them help the first time. Grease the bolt threads before assembly with some kind of anti-sieze compound.
Good luck!

If the bbl is too fat for the action, the threads may have to be chased just a hair. It's easy to pick up a thread if you have a lathe, otherwise a 1.062-16 die, like watercam says, will chase it just enough to get it on as well. Not ideal, but certainly not bad at all.

Maybe the threads are full of the gorilla snot Rem uses to glue them in place. Either way, be damn careful if you screw it on and decide to go bang without knowing the head space.

I ordered from Brownells Remington 700 308 SA Receiver, barrel and buy from Ebay, and the self-install but I can not for the inside of the barrel to the end of the receiver, you can help me solve this okay?
or have to buy another barrel, and buy the appropriate kind?
I take pictures through laptop webcams
Thank you all!

P.M. was sent to you please read .
maybe the best thing that has happened here is the barrel did'nt go on guys . T.R.

Currently I am not in the U.S., so I have to find the best way to solve this problem with a gunsmith in my country (gunsmith in my country do not experience this problem) I had to learn and buy tools cooperation to the gunsmith about solving this problem.
You understand what I'm saying?
You help me and detailed instructions to help me?
Thanks!

Is that photo reversed? Those threads look backwards.

Yeah, they look like left hand threads. If it's an ebay barrel, someone may have wanted to dump their mistake on an unsuspecting buyer. Henry, who or what is the source of the barrel?

I take pictures through the battered laptop webcam.
I bought 2 of the barrel through ebay 2 different people but are so.

Henry please go slow. There is no rush. Get some videos from Brownells. I had the ones from Steve Acker (that spelling may be wrong). I did run the 1.0625-16 tap from Brownells into my action as I did not care for the threads. I have been told that is bad but it worked well for me. Once you get the barrel to screw all the way on (that does not mean it is installed), unscrew it and put the headspace go guage in the bolt and close it, then screw the barrel gently but firmly against it. If there is no gap left between the barrel shoulderand the recoil lug which is tight against the action, then take the go guage out and put the no go guage in. Gently try to close the bolt. It should not(MUST NOT) close on the no go. If it does then you have to work the metal of the shank back. That requires a lathe and some skill with it
Henry, you got balls the size of Texas to try this but I'm betting you can do it. One idea is to get the Acker video and show it to your gunsmith. It will probably be clear to him instantly. If neither of your barrels are properly headspaced you will need a finish reamer which I hope you have there as it is not likely you can get it shipped from here. Pacific Tool & Guage, Dave Kiff, would be the authority on that.
Not my business but aren't there easier cartridges for you to do a project in the area you are in?
There are a lot of good mentors for you here at this site.

Good Luck

John

And the bolt handle notch and the safety are on the wrong side unless it's a lefty. You would have told us if it was left handed, wouldn't you Henry?

I'm right handed. I take the opposite
I discuss with my Gunsmith, he told me to try to find the correct tools and materials, with mechanical skills and basic knowledge of guns will try to help me. in my country is not so much the gun is shot with Remington 700 rifle ever they are unfamiliar
Thanks

Henry, You cannot take any barrel, and screw it on a receiver and shoot it. It must be checked for bolthead and boltlug clearance and headspaced properly or you will have a dangerous situation that could result in serious injury to your hands and eyes. The last minutes of this web video show how to do a proper headspacing and barrel install job. Hope this helps.

The barrel would not start if the threads are reversed...The receiver is cut undersize or has Locktite in it..That is how my smith fits a barrel..Gets tight..run another 0.0005 cut on threads till it fits TIGHT.LT
