Can I use medium grit Coal slag to fill my rear Bag

Hello everyone I am wanting to fill my rear Edgewood bag I want it to be nice and heavy any suggestions will the above work I don’t want to tear up my bag

If by coal slag you mean Black Diamond media blast as from Tractor supply , yes you can but caution as this is somewhat nasty stuff to breath in and will break down over time inside the bag. You made be better served to order zircon or chromite from Protektor or Sinclair or another reputable dealer.
 
I used a very large grain sand that we used at work called Ortona sand that has worked well. If very heavy is the goal and rules don't matter maybe BBs or Birdshot? I saw a bag once that had a 1/4 inch stainless steel plate cut to match the bottom of the bag and it was glued on before it was filled. The guy let me shoot a few shoots and I loved it but never made one. He said it would be illegal in a match. It let the bag sit perfectly on the bench, and held it shape .
