Can anyone tell me what this is? I have no idea. I have a bunch of them. I would like to know what they are so I can either sell them or throw them out if they are no good.

M1 Garand hand guard w/ liner & ferrule.

Strip off the metal parts & burn the walnut pieces in your fireplace/woodstove.

Dan: Just wondering: why should the walnut be burned in the fireplace/woodstove? There are a lot of CMP M1 Garands out there and at least some may need these stock parts replaced.

The walnut in the pictured example looks good enough that it could be restored easily.

That would be some expensive damn firewood. If they are not cracked you could sell those things for $30 all day long on the CMP or m14 boards.

akajun: For that matter, even if some minor cracks existed, it would be a simple matter to open up the crack & fill it with Brownells Accuglass, clamp together & the repair will last a lifetime.

Please don't burn them. Someone out there would love to have them (me included). I have several Garands and 2 have cracked front handguards. I'd gladly pay shipping for 2 if you're going to destroy them otherwise.
