Can anyone modify/ extend capacity for an Anschutz magazine?

I recently picked up a 1727 Anschutz, .17 HMR for sage rat shooting. The only problem is that the magazines only hold 4 rounds. So I bought 15 magazines. I would prefer to have magazines with 10+ capacity. Is there anyone out there that can make, or can modify these for me?

What distance are you shooting? I have an Annie HM2 and you can get 10 round magazines for it.

you can get a +1 baseplate for the magazines. they are spendy, but you just spent a wad of cash on 15mags so whats a little extra?

Anschutz did in fact make a 10rd magazine at one point, on a limited production basis. they are rare as hens teeth! I would love to get my hands on 2 or 3, even if they cost $150 each. (not kidding)

I'm not sure its as simple as using two 4rd bodies, trim and TIG together + a new spring. just the donor parts would be almost $100 before labor. (not including the cost of the spring) on a semi-custom basis these mags could cost as much as $250 each to make.

Very interesting. We could do either here,make from scratch or modification to existing.

I'm too..... oh,how you say? O.LD. Meaning,you need to find someone a little more "in line" with starting or adding to their business.... IMO. Just sayin,it ain't rocket science but you would need a few things in order. Don't want to be wearing too many hats on this. Be nice to have some plans "drawn" up,an ace fabrication/tooling guy..... and not the least of which,someone to test. And this isn't just some knucklehead doing "mag dumps"(or whatever you call it on a bolt gun)... the tester has to provide some real input,feedback,and QC.

Magazine fabrication(several ave. here)and scope building/repair are two areas that "should" be on guys lists,looking to add to their shop's repertoire.

I would get ahold of Jreed, he is a member here and I have bought 3 541 remington mags from him and they are as slick as snot. He makes them from scratch. Just not sure if there is enough market to tool up for it but he does great work. Gary
