Can a .270 be accurate?

The reason I ask is because I've built a "6.8 SPC" on a Savage action and was wondering what I can expect out of this round. I've got them down to less than 1" at 100 yards but was wondering if anyone has delt with the .270 and what it's capable of. Any opinions or actual experience?
I'am use to shooting bug holes with a 22 and 6 BR so my expectations might be high. ???

For now I'am working with 90s and 110 V Max so I'll ring them out and see what I can do. The first 2 rounds out of the barrel both went into the same hole so I know it has potential. Bug holes? Well, maybe. ;)

Depends what do you call accurate? I have a 270 that consistently shoots in the .221" to .224" range. I am pushing a 140 gr Berger VLD at 3070 fps. To me thats pretty good.

Sounds encouraging. ;D The Sierra 90 grain HP that I'am working with has a hole in it big enough "brake a leg" in but it's pretty accurate. The first 2 shots went into the same hole so I'am still working. ;)

The only thing holding the 270 caliber back is lack of good bullets. If they made few match grade bullets in 120,130,135, and 140 grain bullets it would make a big difference. It is like the 25 caliber if they made as many different bullets like they do in the 6.5,284 & 30 calibers they would be as accurate as some of them. Maybe not all but some.
