Be there around 0700 for target setup, sign-in, etc. We usually start sometime around 0800-0830. I don't know about tomorrow because they are holding a pistol match on Range 102 before/during the Mid Range. :o

Steve,

Considering its still early in the yr, any chance of snow?

I know our pits are still full... :'(

It'll be pretty cool tomorrow, Rod. The weatherman says 68°. I better wear long sleeves and take a sweatshirt. ;) [br]
I believe the last time there was sea level snow in San Diego was 1968.

Hey Steve, word is from Van that it will be a 9am start time due to the pistola match! No snow in diego-town.

See you then.

Diego

0900? What's the world coming to when you don't have to wake in the dark to shoot a match? That just means the wind will be waiting for us on first relay. ;)

Well the waiting game was not the best, but I did have fun picking the brain of some good shooters! The wind kicked my butt as usual :'(

The wind was waiting for us. We didn't get started until about 1030. Wind was ~8-14 mph most of the day. It started off right to left, had one early switch and stayed left to right (SW wind) for the rest of the day. The problem was gusts and fast let offs. There were a lot of 6's shot. Flags were the best indicator as mirage ran fast and flat all day. [br]
Randy Teissedre took overall and sling, Gary Eliseo was second overall and I was third overall and took F-Class. This was first match for my .300 WSM and 230 Hybrids at ~2950 did what you would expect them to do. They are not magic bullets, however. My sense is that they required about 1/2 MOA less hold than my Shehane with 180 Hybrids at 2965. That's just about what ballistics tables predict. I held between about 2.5 and 3.5 MOA all day.
