California State Palma Championship Results

Day 1:
It started off as a warm, mild day in Coalinga and finished with a taste of tomorrow's wind and some thick mirage. Noma Mayo leads the sling shooters with a fine 450-28X, followed by Dennis Flaharty, 449-21X and Bob Gustin, 447-25X. F-T/R is lead by Niklas Montin with an excellent 442-19X, followed by Will McCloskey, 419-6X and Gary Atkinson, 409-7X. Steve Rader is ahead in F-Open with 447-25X, followed by Peter White, 446-22X and Steve Blair, 444-26X. The complete Day One results are attached. Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion tomorrow, same time, same station. ;) [br]

Day 2:
The 2013 California Palma Championship is complete and there are new champions. Bob Gustin was both State Palma Champion and High Senior in the Sling category with 889-45X. Congratulations, Bob. Steve Raeder is the F-Open champ with 888-45X. Congratulations, Steve. Both shot well in sometimes difficult conditions. Niklas Montin won F-T/R with an excellent score of 871-29X. Congratulations, Niklas. Niklas shot about as well as the F-Open shooters on several relays. [br]
Many of the Northerners (California) will be heading up to Sacramento for March Madness where you can shoot as much as a human can stand. :)

Thanks Steve,
I had a great time scoring on Day 2when you, Pete and Steve R was shooting next to each other, while the wind was changing from strong left to right. Unforgiving winds and great shooting even made target pulling fun :)
- Gary was in my relay and at the other end of the line.
Thanks for pointers and ideas!

You should have come down for this event. Great match and we could do with some more F shooters.
See you Friday!
