Caldwell Fire Control Bags

I just got a Caldwell Fire Control Rest. I seems to work fine for Benchrest shooting. 1/4' groups no problem.
It is not a Farley for sure. But for the Budget minded, mine works great with one Exception. The bags that come with the rest are really BAD.

Does anyone know of a good top of the line front bag that will Fit the Caldwell? Fire Control?

I have looked at several different bags on line but none say that they fit the Fire Control.

Do a search of the forums and you should come across a couple of posts with pics that show a modification with little work for the Sinclair rt-3 top, which has now been replaced with an improved top they call the universal. I just had a protecktor bag made for mine that cost me $39 shipped. It is made of cordura, which is what I wanted. Call them at814-435-2442 and ask for whatever width you want. I got one in 3 inch width.

I have posted the modifications that are needed to use a 3' Protektor bag with pictures. I found the post but was unable to copy it with the pics. Just search 'caldwell fire control front rest' and I think you will find it. Post was on 8/5/08

Thanks for the info on Protector. I called them and they are making me one to fit my 40X forend,that fits the Fire control.
