Buying a stock

i will be ordering a stock for my F-open build this week, I was looking at a McMillan, what is everyone experience and other then McMillan what dose everyone suggest? Stock under under $1000?

You can't go wrong with Master Class Stocks. It's going to run you close to $1,000 but Alex is THE BEST in the business. I have his fclass patern on an open gun and love it!

I'm currently using one from Shurley Brothers. It's their Lowrider pattern and it is by far the best tracking stock I have ever had.

Very nice! I really like the ones on PR&T website but for my "starter" rig I think I might stick with the McMillan

Your US dollar is long compared to Canadian dollar take a look at
Star Shooter stocks makes some aw-sum stocks
google Star shooter Quebec Canada

McMillans F-Class are great stocks but the forend does flex a little on them..I've got one so I know. Throw a long, heavy barrel on and you got to pay attention. Shurley Brothers or Bowman makes great, stiff, well tracking stocks. They all cost about the same.

Are you talking his glass stocks, wood or both? I don't want a wood stock and it appears that is what so many guys are going too...I'd rather have the fiberglass. Oh how I wish I could find a Robertson stashed away somewhere :)

I don't like what was said about McMillan flexing ! I would like a PR&T low boy if anyone knows where a good used one is.

I have only used his wood stocks, if your looking for a fiberglass, I believe the MCRS tactical (http://www.mcrstactical.com/index.html) is doing composites of some popular pattern. They are located in Canada so there is some extra paperwork to fill out but could be worth it.
