On this scope there is a scale at the very top (12 o'clock). There is only a scale no numbers. I can not find this mentioned in the instructions. It is not in the way at all I am just lost at what it represents.
Really like this scope very much and as it is 1st focal plane its range finding is very nice without having to worry what power you are set on. Reticle is G2DMR.
Thanks

Anyone have one of these? I called Bushnell and they could not tell what it is for.

I've had a couple of these, and still have one. Where on the scope? In the reticle, or on the body of the scope somewhere?

Are you talking about the very small hash marks at the top of the reticle?

This PDF says the side marks are .1 mil, so based on that, the top hash marks also look like .1 mil with a wider hash every 1 mil.

The pdf says this can be used to measure targets/objects with markings that are more precise than the .5 mil hash marks.

They are IN the reticle.
Thy are small hash marks on the very top of view you get when looking thru the scope.
They are not what you have pictured here. The reticle is marked the same except NO heavy divisions from 8 mil. out. From the center up there are the mil. slashes. They stop and before you get o the very 12 o'clock position there are VERY fine hash marks standing by themselves with no ref. numbers. They are quite fine.
G2DMR is the reticle you show and what my box is marked (bought new from Bushnell). The reticle in the scope is close but not the same from the center up. When I asked Bushnell, the gentleman said he had seen what I was talking about at some time, that it is not on their website, and he could not tell me what thy were for. (Started talking about a 'balanced picture'...at that point I thanked him and hung up.
I assume since they are standing alone, they are marks for range finding, but they are in a strange spot since any of there mil marks from the cross hairs out and up are used for ranging. I am sure Bushnell did not feel like spending 'extra money' to put them there so they must have a specific purpose but it escapes me.
Thanks very much.

Exact area. However the fine hash marks does not exist on mine on any of the 4 lines from the center. I have the hash's with numbers separated with dots but not as fine. Then on the upright crosshair from the center at the very top 1/4 there are a series of horizontal hash marks. No numbers nor dots and extremely fine.......so fine I never noticed them until recently. They are so high it's an area I never bothered to look....sounds crazy but that's what happened.
There is no picture on line in any add that shows what I have, nor in the instructions, and as I said Bushnell was of no help.
I want to get someone here that can take a picture and forward it to you as explaining it is crazy.
Incidentally the picture you attached is exactly what appears on the box my scope came in and also in the instruction sheet.
again thanks for helping
Chuck
