bushing die not sizing enough neck

i wasn't getting enough neck sized even though i felt the die was properly adjusted. then i recalled seeing on this site that the decapping stem set too long could push brass into primer pocket preventing primer from setting deep enough...can't recall who posted this but he's a regular. i adjusted the stem and SHAZAMMM! the stem was bottoming out and thankfully i stopped with the force on the press handle...an old rcbs single stage with a very delicate touch. remove the decapper entirely, then adjust die to size all the neck that the bushing can , then reinstall the decapper correctly. thanks to whoever posted the info.
