Burris Veracity?

Anyone have any first hand experience with one of these scopes? Holding Zero, Tracking, glass quality Etc? I'm looking into a varmint rifle scope and was wondering about one of these. I have no experience with Burris what so ever.

I have 3 8-32X44 older Peep Plex Burris Signatures that have served me very well for many years. They always have tracked and held zero perfectly for me.
If I remember right, I bought my first one from a top benchrest shooter over at benchrest central that was retiring from shooting. He said they were the best scopes he had ever owned at that time.
After the first one I bought 2 more if that tells you anything.
Burris has changed ownership though so I don't know about their current quality.

Took a new Veracity out for the PD maiden voyage a couple months ago. 5-25X with ballistic reticle. Did the job fine, no real complaints. Maybe the reticle lines could be a little finer. Would buy another one.

Edit: I was less than thrilled to see that the scope is made in the Philippines.

Hows the burris warranty? I have one of the old posi lock 8-32x maybe and its never looked right even when it was new. Never shifted but the posi lock doesnt seem to hit right and it doesnt have a very wide fov.

Burris/Steiner have warranties, but will not repair out of production items. They will offer you a trade in value exchange. Even through when you contact them and they tell you to send in for "repair".

Thats what i was wondering. I got a real nice bushnell 4-12x40 worth about $80 for a t-36 weaver

I purchased a used burris signature 6-24x44 scope and unfortunately it did not adjust properly. I sent it in and Burris said it couldn't be fixed and sent me a 5-25x50 veracity first focal plane at no charge. I also sent in a fulfield 2 because it was a not as bright as it was when new and it was fixed quickly at no charge. There customer service seems top notch to me.

I had a Burris Veracity 4-20x50 on my CZ 204 Ruger and it was just kinda an "ok" scope. Didn't really dial with it much but it seemed to track fine. The optics were not particularly impressive, especially when the power was turned up. The one I had, the optics got very grainy as you increased the magnification and at the highest magnification it was very grainy. I bought mine new from Cabela's and based on the one I had, I would not buy another.

I have a veracity 3-15x and it has been a great scope, no issues, glass is good. My only complaint us I wish they had hash marks for windage on the main cross hair.

Old fullfields and the slightly newer black diamonds were good hunting scopes. Don't have any experience with the newer scopes.
