Burris Spotting Scope?

I looked at one of these at Fur Fin & Feather last week, and was impressed with the brightness, clarity, and sharpness. I could just make out one digit on a license plate at 1500 yards (approx, not Known Distance). Their price was $260, and I recently found another source for $50+ below that. But before jumping, I wondered if anyone on here has ever used one either in the field or on the target range (beyond 300 yards)? ...Comments?

Yes, I know the included scope stand is flimsy, but I have a sturdy one I can use anyway.

I have had one of these for 2 years now, For a $200.00 scope its ok but I don't use it over about 50X to hard to focus. I can't see .224 bullet holes at 300 but can .284 and up.
I have a Zeiss 6x24 Conquest on my Varmint gun and if I have it with I use it over the Burris spotter. Haven't used it in the field, Like to travel light.
My 50+ year old eyes don't help either.
