Burris Signature 6 - 24x scope Questions

I am looking to buy a good used scope for use on a .22 cal rifle. I use the rifle for 50 to 100 yd target shooting. Currently looking at an auction on an older Burris Signature 6 - 24x scope. My question is do these scopes have adjustment for parallax? What size rings do they need? Any comments either positive or negative might be helpful. Thanks.

The older Signature models had A O for parallax adjustment. Good glass but were somewhat limited in vertical and horizontal adjustment. You would be best off with Burris Signature Z rings with the plastic inserts to get the needed vertical at 100 yds on a 22 rimfire.

When they first came out they were in the $340-$360 price range. They had the Daylight/Twilight (think camera shutter)style front adj. along with adj. AO and were 1" tubes. Later versions had 30 mm tubes and side PA. Recticles were varied Fine plex (my favorite), Mil-dot, Ballistic plex and a couple others.
1 thing I would check on, is if it still tracks. That is Burris's biggest issue as the scopes age. The forever warranty is NOT the best.....BTDT.

there is 3 8x32x40 on ebay right now, sometimes you can find one with fine crosshair dot, but most times it's a duplex with fine x hair, they are good for 30 cal holes, which is how I shoot, aim at a bullet hole, I think maybe a 36 weaver may be better for what your doing, but myself I like the power, but I don't know how you like to shoot,

Do you know what type reticles these scopes came with? What about tube diameter/ring size?
the older burris had 1 inch tubes, the newer ones don't know, but the new signatures have ed glass around 550 bucs, you may want to try a sightron sii 36x or weaver 36 or loopy 36

Very helpful input. Thanks to all. If the scope does have a tracking problem will Burris address it under warranty on an old scope. My limited experience with Burris warranty work has been positive.

My early Signatures have fine crosshairs, fine with 1/8" dot, or fine duplex. I like them all. These scopes have 1" tubes which are thicker than other brands, they're tanks. A bunch of them are on heavy 20+ lb guns and have been used as lifting handles in and out of the truck, never lost a zero. Good glass and everything made in USA. I have probably 10 or 11 in 6-24 and 8-32. Only negative is the limited adjustment travel compared to a 30mm tube, but no problem zeroing close with Signature rings.

Burris does not care if you are the original owner or not, It's a transferable warranty. Not all Burris scopes are made in the USA, some are made in the Phillipenes.

I keep a good stash of vintage Leupold and Burris scope on hand. The Burris signature scopes have been great scopes, optics are clear and I’ve never had one go bad. They are heavy and they are long like the one on the left in the picture. That particular scope only goes down to 50 yards on its parallax which can be a handicap for rimfire shooting. Unfortunately these old vintage scopes keep fetching higher and higher prices, great scopes if you can find one at a reasonable price.
