Burris Backs Steiner Optics

No clue how long that arrangement has been going on. I had a pair of Steiner Safari binoculars the past maybe 8-10 years. Used them often but did not abuse them hunting. They really had been super nice for a small-sized unit. One side wore loose and this past season, filled with moisture even though not directly ever wet.

Called the Steiner number and Burris answered. I asked if they could fix them but did not want to pay over say $75-$100 for the repair as I would then get other ones. Followed their directions and sent them back.

Today, just a few weeks later, they did not come back. A brand new pair was sent back to me at NO CHARGE.

Man I am shocked. They would have been long out of warranty I guess. No note that I owe them anything. Just a new set of Steiner Safari binoculars. It doesn't get much better than this.

Burris has always had good CS, they have gotten better

Beretta had purchased Burris, Burris recently purchased Steiner. The XTR-2 line followed, put a 3-15 on a hunting rifle, nice scope, been considering their Fclass 8-40.

Burris customer service is excellent. As good as any in my experience. I believe Beretta/Burris purchsed Steiner Optics around 2008.

I don't currently own any Burris or Steiner optics, but have had some in years past. Unfortunately, I feel both companies have fallen behind the curve in producing quality optics at an affordable price. Burris made some of the best rifle scopes back in the 90s and early 2000s with their Signature and Diamondback series. Now other manufacturers have raised the bar. I'm sure they'll be back in the game again soon.

It's always nice to hear positive things like this about American companies that have anything to do with the firearm/shooting/hunting industry. Kinda makes me proud, even tho I'm not American
