BulzEyePro optical booster. I,ve read there ads so has anyone tried a 3x booster? Seems like an inexpensive way to gain some magnifacition.

Hi Bob,
I have the 3x and 4x boosters. They are both best used for benchrest shooting.
The 3x model that I have is only intended for 100-300 yards, but the 4x is great for any range out to 1K. With the 4x I can see 6mm bullet holes consistantly at 500 yards using a Sightron 36x scope. The 4x multicoated (the one I have) is advertised to enhance mairage waves and keep the target stationary. In my experience that is exactly what it does. I can read the mirage much better, and the target does not dance around.
The same company also makes boosters for hunting, they supposidly enhance the color of deer etc.

I am looking to boost my Leupy 12X with the 3x booster target model, kinda hard to see the .22 holes at 200yards. The reviews look good from what I've read.

I bought a 4X for comp shooting...
Shot 100 200 300 match using it...40x Leup..Could still see comp number above tgt...Really good for 300+...not really needed at shorter range..Will try out on 36 Weaver next 600 match...
No change in zero...no change in reticle size...Dont know about mirage yet..

I tried a 4X and with my eyes I wasn’t able to focus with it on. But the good news is they are great to deal with and is well worth trying if it doesn’t work for you they are great about taking it back. At least they were for me! For the ones it works for its great from all I hear I only wish I could have made it work for me

I will need to go with the slip on style ( 1979 made leupy scope). From the site video that is what they suggest, I'll get the comp. model just don't know if it will be 3X or 4X. Thanks for all the input.
